No. Wellness coaching is not therapy and Avril is not a licensed therapist. Coaching is a forward-focused, action-oriented process. It does not diagnose, treat, or address mental health conditions. If you need clinical mental health support, Avril can help connect you with the right resources.

Therapy often focuses on understanding past patterns and healing. Coaching focuses on where you are now, where you want to go, and how to get there. The two can complement each other. Many clients see both a therapist and a coach.

No, it’s optional. But it’s recommended because it gives both of us a clearer starting point, and it qualifies you for 50% off your first session. Takes about 5 minutes.

A short self-reported form you’ll complete when you book your first session. It captures how your body is carrying stress right now — sleep, energy, physical symptoms, lifestyle patterns, and more. If you have recent results from your doctor (bloodwork, blood pressure), you can include those too. If not, your own experience is enough.

The first session is 60 minutes. Follow-up coaching sessions are 30 minutes. All sessions begin with a short grounding breathwork practice.

Both. Virtual sessions are available to anyone. In-person sessions are available in the Bay Area, CA.

Weekly is recommended, especially at the start. Consistency is what makes the micro-habit approach work. Each session builds on the last experiment. That said, we’ll design a cadence that fits your actual life.
